Step back in time and visit a working mill in beautiful rural Cheshire. See one of the country’s best preserved demonstration water powered corn mills.
Stretton Watermill offers something for every visitor. The site consists of the working mill, an old 19th century stable, which houses an exhibition, and pleasant grounds with a picnic area. Visitors to Stretton will benefit from the greatly improved access to the upper floor of the mill. The new landscaping and pathways offer views of the pond and the mill buildings and add to the charm of this idyllic rural setting.
After learning about the history of the mill, one of our millers will take you on a fascinating tour around it. See the ancient wooden machinery in action, listen to stories, have a go at milling grain, work miniature models, wander around the displays or just relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside setting.
